About
Hangzhou Xieyue Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. was registered on January 29, 2026, co-founded by Chen Wei (chairman and CTO), former chief AI scientist at Li Auto, and Zhang Xiao (CEO), former president of Li Auto's second product line. The two are BUPT alumni who worked together at Li Auto for over five years, forming a complementary combination of AI technology plus product definition. The company focuses on consumer embodied AI for home scenarios, choosing to enter open, complex home environments directly rather than taking a closed-to-open progressive path, and transfers multimodal experience from Li Auto's fully in-house smart cockpit stack, MindGPT, MindVLA, and LIVIS AI glasses to home robots. In April 2026 it closed an angel round jointly invested by Vision Plus Capital and Li Auto (through its subsidiary Chongqing Chezhiyuan) - the only Li Auto alumni startup Li Auto has invested in within the past two years. Within about two months of founding it had built a team of 20+ people across Hangzhou, Beijing, and Shenzhen (Hangzhou and Beijing for AI algorithms, Shenzhen for hardware mass production), with the first product expected in H1 2027.
Technical Approach
Enters open, complex consumer home scenarios directly rather than a closed-to-open progressive path; starts from rigid-need scenarios and solves problems step by step. Fully transfers Li Auto's MindGPT/MindVLA foundation models and multimodal interaction experience to home robots; the view that embodied AI competition equals foundation model ceiling (0-100 points) plus human-robot interaction experience (0-60 points), and both must be addressed.
