About
EnjoyTime was founded in Beijing in 2023 by Chen Zhen, a serial entrepreneur born in the 1990s. It is the first Chinese company to scale embodied AI for foodservice into mass production and successfully expand overseas. Its core product, the LAVA robot, specializes in high-temperature deep-frying stations in commercial kitchens; in September 2024 it obtained Beijing's first food business license for an embodied intelligence robot, becoming China's first licensed AI chef. It has run continuously for 190 days and completed over 100,000 fault-free frying cycles, and has passed CE and Korean KC certification with 100+ unit-class deliveries underway in Korea. Backed by four A-share listed shareholders — Ninebot, Joyoung, Zhenbang Intelligent and Meinian Health — it covers 7,000 hotels and nearly 2,000 restaurants in China, with 2025 revenue over RMB 40M. In April 2026 it closed a RMB 150M Series A strategically led by Ninebot and released the world's first whole-scenario embodied intelligence solution for foodservice.
Technical Approach
Scenario-first philosophy: good general-purpose capability must grow out of one or a few specialized scenarios — no chasing humanoid robots, no showing off. Four core technologies: self-developed robotic-arm joint modules (60+ robotic-arm patents), full-environment mobility on the Ninebot platform, a bionic dexterous-hand joint R&D platform co-built with Tsinghua, and a 10B-parameter on-device embodied VLA model (18 TB of scenario data) in a cerebellum-plus-brain architecture — it learns only the kitchen, not Go.
